Yvonne Steinberg, 100, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at a care center in Pocatello, ID. She was born on October 1, 1919 in Preston, Idaho to Hans Jacob and Violet Ransom Roholt. In 1935 the family moved to Wendell, ID and she graduated from Wendell High School in 1938.
She married first Grant Ferdinand Zollinger of Wendell, ID. They were later divorced. On September 25, 1960 she married Irv Steinberg, founder, and co-owner of the Sew and Save Fabric Shop in Twin Falls, ID.
Yvonne worked as a bookkeeper and assistant office manager for Detweiler Bros. Inc. and their subsidiary companies for 29 years until the companies dissolved in 1977. She worked at the Twin Falls County Treasurers Office from 1978 until 2006.
Yvonne was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities, including Relief Society teacher, Sunday school teacher and as a Visiting Teacher.
Yvonne is survived by her sister, Edythe Joyce Fowler of Blackfoot, ID; and daughter, Dixie Lee Parkinson of Pocatello, ID; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.
There will be a graveside service held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11 am at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 2296 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, ID 83301.
