Yvonne Moore

Yvonne Moore, 78 of Pocatello, ID passed away January 9, 2015. Yvonne was born October 31, 1936 in Rock Springs, WY to Leo & Norma (Lee) Deitchler. Yvonne graduated in 1954 from Hot Springs County High School in Thermopolis, WY. After graduation she attended Billings Business College, and later worked for the Husky Oil Company in Cody, WY. She married Michael Lynn Smith in 1955 together they had four children & later divorced. Yvonne worked as a bookkeeper for many years in Thermopolis at Gambles Hardware, Grants Grocery, and Consumer Thriftway. She married Burt Moore in 1975 and gained two step sons that she loved as her own. Yvonne and Burt moved to Casper, WY in 1975. During her time in Casper she enjoyed volunteering by playing the piano at the local nursing homes bringing joy to the residents with games like "Name that Tune". After Burt retired they moved to Mountain Home, ID where they enjoyed exploring all the area had to offer. After her husband passed away, Yvonne moved into Cottonwood Cove in Pocatello, ID in August of 2004 to be closer to family. There she made many good friends playing the piano for sing-a-longs, accompanying others in talent shows and enjoyed many nights playing pinochle. Yvonne was an amazing woman, who brought joy, music, and laughter everywhere she went. She lived her life always helping others. Her faith in God showed through in everything she did. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her three children, Mike Smith (Ramona) of Salt Lake City, UT, Lori Lenz (George) of Worland, WY, Christi Barber (Bret) of Pocatello, ID; two stepsons, Steven Moore (Cindy) of Vernon, CT and Roger Moore of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Andrew & Casey Lenz of Worland, WY, Mack & Madi Smith of Salt Lake City, UT; and her brother, Don Deitchler (Verna) of Thermopolis, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Cheryle Deitchler, and Carol Worley; her daughter, Jeanne Smith; and husband, Burt Moore. There will be a celebration of Yvonnes life at Cottonwood Cove 1052 W. Quinn Road, Pocatello, ID 83202 on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Highland Park Cemetery in Casper, WY at a later date.
