Wright Hanks

Wright Capener Hanks, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 24, 2010, at Quinn Meadows Rehabilitation and Care Center in Pocatello. Wright was born December 17, 1918 in Tetonia, Idaho to David Capener Hanks and Emma Wright Hulet Hanks. He had a large, loving family of 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 5 half brothers, and 1 half sister. He grew up in Tetonia, Idaho, helping on the family farm. Wright attended elementary school in Tetonia and graduated from Driggs High School, in Driggs, Idaho in 1937. While in high school he participated in football, basketball, track, band, and choir. Wright attended Idaho State College in Pocatello, graduating with a degree in Pharmacy in 1943. It was during his time at college that Wright met his wife, Esther Hansen, at an LDS Institute dance. They were married in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple in 1944. Wright and Esther had four daughters
