POCATELLO - Wilma Ward Sampson, 88, returned to her Heavenly Father, November 15, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at the Idaho State Veteran's Home. Wilma was born January 29, 1923, the second of two children to Vera Ward Clinkscales and Percy Ward in Pocatello, Idaho. She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1941. On December 26, 1942 Wilma married Clyde Jay Sampson. Wilma was a member of the Pocatello Trap Club, Elks Lodge, and the Pocatello Art Center. Wilma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her hobbies included fishing, hunting, shooting, boating, and an accomplished artist. Wilma was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. Wilma is survived by her son Robert (Deborah) Sampson, Denver, Colorado, daughters Susan S. Maughan, and Sally (Larry) Jones, both of Pocatello, Idaho, and three grandchildren, Amery (Mark Stone) and Ellery Maughan, and Raygen Jay Sampson, two great-grandchildren, Kennedy A. Sampson and Wyatt Stone. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2011, at Restlawn Memorial Garden Cemetery. A family gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Friday prior to the graveside service at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.Colonial-FuneralHome.com.
