Wilma B. Rust Jones

Wilma Bernice Terry Higbee Rust Jones, 94, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Wilma was born on August 16, 1922 to Joseph A. and Mary Terry. She attended Whitier Elementary, Franklin Junior High, and Pocatello High School. She worked at Consolidated Aircraft, Garret Freightlines, West Chiropractor, The Boy Scout Office, and ISU, retiring in 1980. Wilma was married to Roy LaVern Higbee from October 1, 1941-October 18, 1978, Howard E. Rust from June 1983-September 29, 2000, Earl Jones from July 14, 2001-December 28, 2012. They all preceded her in death. Wilma belonged to the Literary Club, the Silver Chords and the Senior Citizen Center. She was a member of the LDS Church serving in the Relief Society, Young Womens, as a Den Mother, Cub Scouts and Compassionate Service leader. She also served a mission at the Bishops Storehouse. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, fishing and camping with her family, singing, dancing, and playing the piano and organ. She also enjoyed reading, writing poetry, ceramics, sewing and painting oil paintings for her family. Wilma is survived by her sons, David (Cindy) Higbee, Pocatello, ID, Dale (Sharron) Higbee, Twin Falls, ID, Larry (LeeAnn) Higbee, Pocatello, ID, Terry (Beth) Higbee, Idaho Falls, ID; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sister, Beulah "Pat" Otasua; brother, William Terry; and infant daughter, Sandra Higbee. A viewing will be on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the LDS Lakeview Dr. Chapel, 1440 Lakeview Dr., Pocatello, ID 83201. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 2 pm also at the Lakeview Dr. church with a viewing for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204.
