Willis A. "Bill" Wilson, 84, of McCammon, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Pocatello Regional Medical Center. He was born November 14, 1926 in Swifton, Arkansas son of Aubry Odes Wilson and Lola Irene Adams Wilson. At a young age he entered the U.S. Armed forces and served from 1943-1947 aboard the USS Saratoga and the USS Rendova Aircraft Carriers in the South Pacific. After the war Bill married Betty Lee Brown in February 1948 and together they had two sons, Michael Lee and John Earl. He worked as a machinist for the Union Pacific Railroad and retired at age 67. Bill was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Legion. He loved to play and watch baseball. He also worked with horses and cattle. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his son, Michael (Connie) Wilson, McCammon, ID., half brother, Aubry (Sharon) Wilson, Cherokee Village, AK., half sister, Sandra (G.W.) Wallace, Fisher, AK., grandchildren, Christina (John) Soriano, Sun City, CA., Devon Wilson, and Johnathon (Katie) Wilson, both of North Platte, NE., and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son John E. Wilson, a grandson, Michael L. Wilson II, a sister Jewell Wilson, and half sister, Martha Green. Mike and Connie appreciated all the help from the staff at Ridge Wind and would like to thank them all. As per his wishes Bill was cremated and no services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello.
