William (Bill) Jay Orchard passed away September 17, 2022 at his home away from home at the Champagne Creek Ranch in Arco, Idaho. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho and was raised in Fort Hall. He attended Blackfoot High School.
William married Michelle Rene Freestone in 1975. That marriage ended and he married Ronda Lee Keller on November 17, 1984.
William enjoyed the outdoor life and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, doing cowboy stuff, boating, and riding his horse in the great outdoors. He also enjoyed bowling, dancing, darts and horseshoes. William loved his family dearly and always supported his grandkids in their activities.
William spent the majority of his life working at FMC in Pocatello, later retiring from Kiewit Mine in Soda Springs, Idaho. After retiring, he continued to do what he loved at Champagne Creek Ranch in Arco, Idaho.
William is survived by his wife Ronda Orchard, of Pocatello, ID; daughter Mandy (Scott) Fellows, Pocatello, ID; son Willie (Jeanette) Orchard, Loveland, CO; son Russell (Amber) Simmons, Pocatello, ID; daughter Cassie (Brandon) Larsen, Inkom, ID; by his siblings Carolyn Orchard, Barbara Gerber, Debbie Orchard, David (Marlene) Orchard, nine grandchildren, and one great grandson.
He is preceded in death by his dad Harvy Ray Orchard, mom Florence Caroline Moldenhur Orchard, sister Peggy Orchard, and grandson Payton Everett Orchard.
Bill was a loved man. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
A gathering will take place on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at Wilks Colonial Chapel, 2005 S. 4th Ave, Pocatello.
