William Max Jenkins

October 17, 1956 — December 20, 2015

McCammon ID – William Max Jenkins, 59, of McCammon Idaho, was suddenly called home to his loving Father in Heaven, to be reunited with his sweetheart, Kathy Nord Jenkins, on Sunday, December 20, 2015, while in the service of his God and his fellow man.

Billy was born October 17, 1956, in Soda Springs Idaho, to George Max and LaRue Jenkins. He spent most of his childhood on a farm in Lund Idaho attending North Gem School where he was active in sports, music, 4 H and FFA.

Billy married Kathy Nord March 26, 1983 in Rigby Idaho. Their marriage was latter solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Billy was an amazing welder and could fabricate anything from the archway at the City of Bancroft Memorial Park to Don Aslett's big Green World. He has worked almost everywhere throughout Southeast Idaho through his company, WJ Welding. He was currently employed with Hess Pumice, Malad Idaho, a company which he loved working for.

After Kathy's untimely death he was married to Valarie Gray, October 6, 2008 and was given the great opportunity to be the father to 3 more sons and 2 daughters.

Billy loved hunting, fishing, camping and snow-machining, and spent many hours in his favorite place, the cove, while growing up and throughout his adult life. He also loved his mules and spend many hours with his good friend, Jeffy Allen, training, riding, and plotting their next mule adventure. He loved to serve his fellow man and spent many hours with, the Boy Scouts of America, as a volunteer fire fighter, and just helping neighbors. He loved serving with Bannock County Search and Rescue for the past 7 years.

Billy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a tremendous love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he would speak about it to anyone who would listen. He held several callings within the church throughout his life and was currently in the Sunday School Presidency. He loved the Lord with his whole heart.

He had a deep abiding love for his children and his grandchildren, nothing thrilled him more than spending time with them. He will be watching over Kaya, Kamberie, Kenzie, Tripp and Ryder.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Max and LaRue Jenkins and his wife Kathy Nord Jenkins. He is Survived by his wife Valarie Jenkins McCammon, ID, his sons, Tyler (Loni) Jenkins, Pocatello, ID, Markus Jenkins, Salt Lake City, UT, Joshua Gray, Eagan, MN, Michael (Tiffany) Jenkins, Logan, UT, John (Chalis) Jenkins, Preston, ID, Ethan (Haley) Gray, Provo, UT, Jacob Gray, McCammon ID, his daughters, Sarah Gray, Bountiful, UT, Keelie Gray, Rexburg, ID, 5 beautiful grandchildren, brother, Steven Jenkins, Pocatello, ID, sister, Connie (Ken) Jenkins-Daley, niece, Amber (Cory) Peterson, nephew, Cameron Copeland, Pocatello, ID.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, December, 28, 2015, at noon at the McCammon LDS Stake Center, with Bishop Greg Smedley officiating. There with be a viewing prior to the funeral services, Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. There will also be a viewing from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the McCammon LDS Stake Center. Burial will be in the Lund Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wilks Funeral Home. Special thanks to the Marsh Creek Ward Members, Hess Pumice, Caribou Memorial Hospital and the communities of Marsh Valley for their overwhelming support to his family.
