William (Bill) Sneddon, 83, passed away on December 1, 2020 from a long and courageous battle with prostate cancer.
Bill was born to Ettie and Lum Sneddon on May 9, 1937 in Hagerman, Idaho. Bill's younger years were spent moving to a number of surrounding areas from his birthplace in Hagerman due to his father's occupation in construction. These moves eventually led him to Pocatello where he attended Pocatello High School for two years and met and married Vicki Hill. After their marriage on February 9, 1957, they settled in Pocatello where they raised their four children.... Cheri, Terry, Wendi and Christi. Even though Bill and Vicki later divorced, they remained good friends.
He started his working career at Phillips 66 gas station. He then worked for the Railroad and Patten and Linton. From there he started his trucking career at Garrett's followed by Guiltner, PIE and Basin Western until his retirement. At Basin Western he hauled acid and we were so thankful that he always returned home safe. We are so proud of his accomplishments.
His greatest accomplishments were his kids. He loved to have barbeques and family dinners whenever he had a chance. He loved his custom 59 Blue Chevrolet Apache 32 Fleetside Truck. He was proud of driving his Kenworth truck and always had it clean and shined when he left for work. He is a gentle soul that anyone who met him was drawn to him.
Bill is preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, Ettie and Lum Sneddon, a brother, Clendon Sneddon, and a daughter-in-law, Wendy Sneddon.
He is survived by his four children, Cheri Sneddon, Terry Sneddon, Wendi Reavis, and Christi (Tony) Axtell. Brother, Bob Sneddon, sister, Lucy ( Leo ) Sorensen, nephews, Bobbie ( Mally) Sneddon, Steve (Karen) Sneddon.
