William Armstrong

William Armstrong, 98, passed away peacefully on November 19 at his home in Chubbuck, Idaho from causes due to his age.

Bill was born on August 15, 1920. He married Phyllis Clara Baker on October 27, 1940. He was a longtime employee of the UPRR.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, as well as three sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his son, William Jr., two daughters Phyllis Renay and Crickett, two sisters, one brother, 11 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018, with a viewing beginning at 1:00 pm at the Chubbuck 4th Ward LDS Chapel at 450 James Avenue in Chubbuck. A viewing will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road. Interment will be at the Firth Cemetery following the services.
