Willard Dee Burwell Sr.

Willard Dee Burwell, Sr. (Big Dee) peacefully passed away at his home on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the age of 71. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones. Dee was born in Rigby, ID in 1945. He attended Pocatello High School. Dee married and started his family in 1965. He went on to work in different fields, primarily road construction, which ended with his retirement from Frasure Industrial. Dee enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and four wheeling. His favorite place was the wilderness and open spaces. You could always count on him to be ready to go throw a line in, and he couldnt wait for hunting season. He is survived by his children, Dee Burwell Jr., Wade (Melissa) Burwell, Nikki (Greg) Rovig, Scott Burwell Holloway, Shauntai (Corey) Hampton; 3 brothers, Tim Burwell, Kim Burwell, and Flint Burwell; 13 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Dee is preceded in death by his brother, Delynn Burwell; mother, Thora Burwell; and father, John Burwell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Portneuf Cancer Center, 777 Hospital Way, Pocatello, ID, 83201. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID, with a visitation for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204.
