Wayne Eugene Roderick

Wayne Eugene Roderick passed from this world on May 2nd 2024. He is survived by his son Randall Roderick and daughter DinaJo Lefler Roderick. Wayne spent 89 years here. If his life was a book it was well written from start to finish.

Wayne grew up in Wyoming and Utah. He met his life long soulmate, Carolyn McLain in 1955 and they shared 64 years as a loving couple. Wayne was a devoted husband and father.

In 1962 Wayne and Carolyn chose the Pocatello area as their home. They built their dream home and never left.

Wayne was the definition of an engineer. Not the railroad kind but the “McGyver” kind. In fact he may have been the inspiration for the character. He was renowned for his ability to fix and repair anything. Engineering principals governed his life. Those who knew him were constantly amazed at his prowess. He lived his life on his terms.

Wayne enjoyed electronics, model trains, square dancing and trail bike riding. He leaves a legacy and example of how to love, how to succeed and have fun.
