Wayne B Lewis

 Wayne B. Lewis, a proud veteran of the Army, passed away on March 21, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

As the son of Arlow Lewis (paternal), Vila Beckstead, and Hale Thatcher, Louie was born and raised in Preston, Idaho. He was born on July 23, 1938, and attended Preston High School.

At the age of 17, Louie enlisted in the Army. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division. As part of this service, he obtained the Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Parachute Badge, and Expert Rifle and Carbine Badge.

Louie is survived by his daughters Valorie and KaiLee Brower and Stephanie Miller, and grandchildren Rashell, EliLai, and Koral Sugiyama, and Jacob Verbeck. His loved ones will remember him for his quick-wittedness and his generosity while caring for everyone around him.

A celebration of Louie's life will be held from 3pm-6pm on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Veteran's Memorial Building, 300 N. Johnson Avenue, Pocatello, ID 83204.  Light refreshments will be served.
