Wanda Lou Bock, 82, passed away December 4, 2018 with her family by her side. Wanda was born November 13, 1936 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Howard and Ruby (Madsen) Sortor. Wanda attended schools in Firth, Idaho Falls, American Falls and Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1954. One of the many things Wanda enjoyed in high school was to roller skate and go to the Saturday night dances at the Deleta. On November 10, 1954, Wanda was with her girlfriend, who drove to a birthday celebration for the United States Marine Corp, to pick up her boyfriend. Wanda was introduced to Orville Bock. Sparks were lit that evening and they never went out again. Wanda married Orville on January 2, 1956 just before Orville left with the Marines for his transfer to Hawaii. Wanda met him there 9 months later. There were 3 daughters born in this marriage; Vicki Lou (Jim) Root, Bobbi Jean Bock (Jeff Murray) and Sheri Jo (Brent) Miller. Wanda and Orville sealed their marriage for all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 5, 1969. Wanda loved being a homemaker. She kept a beautiful warm home for her family. She told her girls that she believed that how one cares for their home is how they care for their family. Wanda was also an avid and excellent seamstress. She proudly had sewn all her 3 girls clothing when they were young. At times, not only did the girls wear matching outfits, but Wanda would make one for herself to match with her girls. They all looked like they had just walked off of a fashion runway. Wanda also enjoyed crocheting dollies; especially on the summer camping trips that Orville would take the girls on while he travelled all over Idaho and Montana; while fly fishing his favorite streams. All the girls have dollies made by Wanda and to this day there are beautiful dollies all over their homes in every room. Most of all, Wanda loves her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Surviving family is: Vicki Lou Root, Bobbi Jean Bock and Sheri Jo Miller daughters Tony Bock, Andrew Cominotti, Jared Peterson, Chantyl Peterson, Mary Lou Robley and Savanya Peterson grandchildren Charlie Cominotti, Daegen Cominotti, Aspen Cominotti and Penny Lou Roberts great-grandchildren. 4 sisters 1 brother Preceded in death by: The love of life and all eternity, Orville Bock Parents 1 granddaughter 3 half brothers 2 sisters 1 niece A viewing will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 9-10 am at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
