Wanda Letham

Wanda Denning Westergard Letham, 92, passed away in Blackfoot on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, of causes incident to age. She was born on October 27, 1917, in Iona, Idaho, the fifth of six children of Peter H. and Sarah Denning Westergard. Wanda had five brothers, Gilbert, LaVerl, Riley, Eldon, and Glen. She was raised in the Iona area and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. Wanda attended Brigham Young University where she met her future husband, Daniel John Letham, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education. Upon graduation she married Daniel J. Letham on December 23, 1940, in Pocatello, Idaho, and they were later sealed together in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were parents to eight children, John, LaRae, Jeanine, David, Sara Lee, Marlene, Peggy and Deanna. Wanda enjoyed teaching school in Victor, Idaho, for a short time, but she thoroughly loved her job as a stay-at-home mom. She sewed the family
