Wade Eli Taysom

Wade Taysom passed away at his home January 20, 2016 surrounded by family, after a long fight with cancer.

Wade was born the fourth child to Wayne Eli and Patricia Rae Gilbert Taysom on October 20, 1961 in Moscow, Idaho. He grew up in southeastern Idaho where he developed a passion for life and anything outdoors.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family; playing sports and developed a love for construction while working for the family business. He found his true passion in life by helping his grandpa, and idol, Eli, on the ranch. He also loved to race motorcycles, snowmobiles, and flat bottom boats. He loved the sport of rodeo, riding broncs and bulls. He graduated Marsh Valley High School in 1980, and went on to become a Journeyman Carpenter. He married Korbie Kay Bernier, on August 21, 1986, and together they raised three children.

His passion for life was Wade's defining characteristic. He loved everything he did, be it work, play or helping others. He loved to work with his family at his farm. He loved taking his girls to rodeos and hunting; and his son and friends, dirt biking and snowmobiling. He told us every day that "life is fun!" and he made sure that it was to the very end.

He is survived by his wife Korbie; his children: Jordan (Jordanne) Bergendorf, Ariel (Trent) Winward, and TaNeisha (Skyler) Lynn; his dad, Wayne (Pam) Taysom; brothers: Terry (Mary) Taysom, Justin "Buz" (Shirley) Taysom; sister Tina Taysom; grandmother Avis Taysom; grandchildren Jordan Craig and Lindsey Marie Bergendorf; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Eli Taysom, and Leo & Bernice Gilbert, as well as his mother, Patricia Beasley.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road in Chubbuck. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday January 24 at the funeral home as well as a short viewing from 10-10:45 a.m. on Monday prior to the service.
