W. Ray Bosen

April 12, 1932 — October 24, 2013

W. Ray Bosen beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully October 24th, 2013 in Pocatello, Idaho. Born on April 12, 1932 to Wendell and Gladys Bosen in Riverdale, Idaho. Graduated from Preston High, University of Idaho with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and an MBA at Idaho State University.

Ray married Marlene Olson December 28th, 1956 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised seven children – James Robin Bosen, Cindy Smith, Wendell (Leslie) Bosen, Douglas (Teresa) Bosen, Sherri (Barry) Smith, Chuck (Jeanie) Bosen, and Gerald (Crystal) Bosen. He has 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Ray served in the US Air Force in the secret service. He worked as an engineer in California, Mexico, and 32 years at the J. R. Simplot Company in Pocatello. Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and travelling with family and friends. He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Phyllis, Neta, Beuhlah, brother, Dell and is survived by a sister, Joy and brother, Clair.

The family would like to thank the staff of Monte Vista Hills for the care and love shown Ray while allowing him to pass in comfort and with dignity.
