BLACKFOOT - Vivian Woolley Dills, 83, passed away September 22, 2010 in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Vivian was born August 7, 1927 in Denver Colorado, the only child of Adrian Rumel Woolley and Vivian Genette Sperry.
Her family moved to Pocatello, Idaho where Adrian owned and operated Mountain Electric for many years.
Vivian attended public schools and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1945.
After graduation she attended Woodbury College in Los Angeles, majoring in Fashion Merchandising. She returned to Pocatello and married Paul Dills, her high school sweetheart in 1947. Paul's varied career moved the family often, but at every step along the way Vivian was involved with their two daughters and their activities. She was very active in Girl Scouts, Job's Daughters, church and many community organizations. In 1960 they purchased property in Aberdeen, Idaho, and began building a new home. For the next 12 years she worked side by side with Paul managing and working the farm. In 1972 Paul returned to work in his management and construction career and with her daughters both in college, Vivian had the opportunity to continue her career in merchandising, and also to become a Certified Gemologist. For 25 years she enjoyed her career experiences, friends, entertaining and travel. She and Paul retired to Nampa, Idaho in 1995.
Vivian is survived by her two daughters Colette Dills Sparks and Janel Dills, and three grandchildren, Jana Sparks, Rylan Sparks and Kali Sparks.
Paul her husband of 61 years, her parents and a grandchild Tyler Dills Gearhart preceded her in death.
At Vivian's request no funeral services will be held. Her family wishes to thank the many friends and neighbors that have been an integral part of Vivian's life, theirs as well. They invite each to please take a moment and share your condolences, a brief story, or any photos you have with her family.
