POCATELLO-Virginia "Ginger" Sharp, 50, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011, at Portneuf Medical Center. Ginger was born on September 13, 1961 in Lakewood, CA the daughter of Dr. Robert Jorres and Ella Elizabeth (Gormley) Franklin. Growing up in El Centro, Ca she enjoyed being in the Marching Band and graduated from Central Union High School in 1979. She then attended Kelsey Jenny Business College where she graduated in 1979. She married Edward Gilda which later ended in divorce. She then moved to Idaho and married Brian Sharp in 1994 that marriage lasted six years, divorcing in 2000. Ginger worked as a photo manager in California and worked at Converges and Quest while living in Pocatello. She was a past Bowling League President for various leagues. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in El Centro, CA. She had a passion for Bowling, and enjoyed playing various games on her computer as well as horseback riding. Ginger is survived by her mother Ella Franklin of Escondido, CA; 3 sisters, Christi (James) Franklin Avelar of Pasadena, CA, Glenola Ringstaff of Pocatello, ID, and Melissa Hopkins of Oxnard, CA; 2 brothers, Marvin (Mona) Iman of Nampa, ID and Bill Ringstaff of Omaha, NB; 3 sons, Daniel Gilda, Gary and Robert Sharp all of Pocatello, ID and her ex-husband, Brian Sharp also of Pocatello, ID. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Robert Franklin; her birth mother, Joyce (Curtis) Ringstaff and mother-in-law, Ann Sharp. Memorial services for "Ginger" will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South 4th Avenue, with the family receiving friends from 1:00 P.M. to service time at the funeral home on Thursday as well. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Colonial Funeral Home.
