Virginia Cowan

POCATELLO - Virginia Cowan, 69, long time resident of Pocatello passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 30th, 2008. She was born Virginia Bragg May 23rd, 1939 in East Texas.Virginia met and married the love of her life and best friend Leon Cowan in Houston, Texas June 4th, 1962. The couple re-located to Pocatello in 1986 to start and run a successful business. She is well known and respected in the community by the many patrons; business associates; employees and friends of the Tyhee Country Store & Enterprises.

Virginia is survived by her loving & devoted husband, Leon Ray Cowan of Pocatello, Her children, Belinda Jackson Fletcher(Darrell) of Houston TX.; Leland Cowan(Debbie) of Mill Spring NC; Lyndon Cowan of Houston TX; Johnnie Cowan (Dilly) of Pocatello; Vickie Stevenson(Sonny) of Texarkana, TX; Mary Foster of Houston, TX. Some of her grandchildren: Shannon Fletcher; Jennifer Farmer(Andrew); Bonnie Walker(David); Luke Alan Cowan(Jessica); Shandi Cowan; Ashley Cowan; Michael Cowan(Ashley) and Brandyn Cowan. She is also survived by six great grandchildren. Virginia enjoyed and had an extended family of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday September 5, 2008 at the Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Rd. Chubbuck, ID. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday September 4, 2008 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
