Virginia B. Sanders

Virginia Bybee Sanders passed away December 24, 2014. She was born September 5, 1924 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Lloyd and Bernice Bybee. She grew up in Idaho Falls, Firth, and Hamer Idaho. She married Jay L. Sanders. They lived in Hamer and were active in the community there for many years. Eventually they moved to Pocatello where she has resided for the last 55 years. She has worked as a bakery manager, worked at, and then owned an employment agency, managed the Bidwell Motel, and worked various selling jobs. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many callings throughout the years. Virginia loved people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed music, cooking, but most importantly her family. She is survived by her children, Sheri (Guy) Bliesner of Blackfoot, Laree Wellard, Lyn (Brady) Barkdull, Kathleen (Rusty) Jackman all of Pocatello, Joe (Robyn) Sanders of Salem, Oregon, Shelli (John) Cope of Mud Lake, Idaho, Duane (Lanett) Sanders of Riverside, Idaho. She is also survived by her brother and two sisters, Don (Maurine) Bybee of Buckeye, Arizona, Kathi (Arlo) Lott of Jerome and Alice (Ray) Stone of Pocatello. She has 42 grandchildren, 111 great-grandchildren, 59 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, "Bert", her husband, a son, "Jay Lloyd", her sons-in-law, Darrell Wellard and Steve Burtenshaw, and a granddaughter, Kim Bliesner. The family would like to thank the staff of Elegant Living and One Source Health and Hospice for the great care they gave mom and her family. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 208-233-1500. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11 AM with a viewing one hour prior at the LDS 12 th Ward building corner of 4 th and Fredregil Pocatello, ID.
