Virginia B. Christensen

Virginia Bright Christensen passed away on November 1, 2012 in Pocatello Idaho. Virginia was born July 11, 1930 in Grant Ward, Idaho to Elmer Parley Bright and Mary Emily Taylor. She was the third of five children.

Virginia attended school in Downey, where she met her husband Richard Devar Christensen. They were married January 25, 1952 in the Logan Temple. They had four sons (the oldest died at birth). They spent the first part of their marriage in Pocatello and moved to Virginia, Idaho in 1964 where they raised their family. Virginia moved back to Pocatello in 2005, following the death of her husband.

In addition to being a mother and home-maker, Virginia worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Marsh Valley Hospital. She also worked as a secretary at Marsh Valley High School. She was a life-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings. She served several years as ward organist.

Virginia is survived by her sons Richard Gregory (Trudy), Morgan Randall (Leslie), and Ronald Brent (Annette), her sisters Ilene Bright England, Patricia Bright Johnson and brother John Robert.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, son R. Douglas, and brother Richard Parley.
