Virgilena M. Leclaire Poog Johnson

Virgilena M. LeClaire Poog, 77 passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, April 22, 2012.

Virgilena was born March 23, 1935 to Sophronia Marie Shay Poog and Edmo LeClaire. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Virgilena was a graduate of Pocatello High School then later went to ISU and completed the Cosmetology course. She then worked for a few years in California. She then returned home to Pocatello, where she married Richard T. Johnson, they later divorced.

Virgilena loved to do her beadwork, attend Pow-Wows, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great "grandchildren.

Virgilena is survived by her three daughters, and one adopted daughter, Sheila (Duane) Schrock; Melanie R. LeClaire; Mitten LeClaire, Wendy (Andy) Casper, all of Pocatello; seven grandchildren and two adopted grandchildren, Vanessa Marie, Tatiana, Tyler, Valentina, Brianna, Brandon, Clarissa Schrock, Taisom and Hunter Casper; and five great-grandchildren, Sean, Jacob “Beaver”, Dominic Schrock, Alex and Hayden Pierce; sister, Alceodini M. Pahvitse; and two special nieces, Lori R. Pahvitse and Stephanie Kiyou.

Virgilena is preceded in death by her mother, Sophronia Marie Shay Poog; daughter, Cathi Michelle Johnson, and nephew, Rondall Chase Pahvitse.
