POCATELLO - Vincent Daniel Muzzo , 80, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 6,2011 at his son's home surrounded by his loving family in Pocatello, Idaho. Vince was a devote Catholic, attended Mt. Carmel Catholic Elementary School in Chicago, graduated from Bloom High School in 1949 with a Wrestling scholarship, and attended Iowa State, and graduated from Northern Illinois State in 1954 with a teaching degree in Education. In 1951, Vince joined the United States Marine Corps Officer Program, and was sent to Quantico, Virginia as 2 nd Lieutenant in June of 1955. He retired in the reserves as Major in 1966. Vince married his wife MaryAnn in 1957 and they had two children, Karen and Mark. From 1965 to 1989, he taught multiple disciplines in the Grossmont Union High School District of San Diego County, Ca. Vince and his wife, MaryAnn, (who passed in 2001), spent over forty years as summer residents of Island Park, Idaho, where they hand-made and sold their signature pottery goods to thousands of vacationers traveling to West Yellowstone and points North. Vince is survived by daughter, Karen Kristin (Gregory John) Grasso, and their children, Christopher, Melissa, Heather, Hillery; a son, Mark Vincent (Christine), Muzzo, and their children, Amanda and Paul.
