Vickie Lyn Zimmerman, 59, of Pocatello, passed away May 22, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 28, 1952 in American Falls, ID. Vickie was raised in Southeast Idaho, and Southwest Wyoming. She graduated from High School in 1971 in Kemmerer, Wyoming She enlisted in the United States Navy the 11 th of June 1971 during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged the 15 th of May 1973. Vickie married Dennis John Burr 1972, and they were blessed with two children; Denise who was born in 1973 and Dennis who was born in 1979. She worked for General Dynamics, a defense contractor in San Diego, California for many years and retired in 1980's. Vickie met and married Eli Bar Ha-Cohen in 2000. Vickie received great pleasure by giving her time in volunteer organizations. She was involved with CASA, the Idaho Food Bank, Portneuf Medical Center, and was also a Cub Scouts Leader. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in the Relief Society. The two greatest "Loves" in her life were first her Grandkids, she was their #1 Grandma and last but not least, her Country. Vickie was very patriotic. Her hobbies and interests include; Gardening, Plants, Flowers, Reading, Pets/Animals, board Games, Sewing, Scrapbooking, loved taking pictures, playing computer games, and bargain shopping. She also liked to collect squirrel figurines and wind chimes. Vickie is survived by her spouse, Eliyahu Bar Ha-Cohen, Pocatello, Id., Daughter: Denise Ann Burr (Jeremiah) Marenda, Wesley Chapel, Fl., Son, Dennis John (Michelle Ann Eames) Burr II, Pocatello, Id., Mother, Helen Loraine Zimmerman, West Jordan, Ut., Brother, Barry Michael Perry, Sandy, Ut., 3 Sisters, Terry Lee Palmer, Murray, Ut., Margo Janice Moeller, Midvale, Ut., Toni Wyn Dybowski, Pine Dale, Wy., Brother, William Alan Zimmerman, Kemmerer, Wy., 6 Grand Children: Danielle, Aurora, Anastasia, Dennis III, James, and Daisy. She was preceded in Death by her Father, William Edward Zimmerman, and brother, Troy Brian Zimmerman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the LDS 6 th Ward Church located at 42 Princeton, Pocatello, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, and one hour prior to the services at the Church. Military honors will be conducted at Falls View cemetery in American Falls, Idaho following the services in Pocatello.
