Vickey Carroll

POCATELLO - Vickey Carroll, 59, of Pocatello, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011. She was born in Rupert, Idaho, grew up in Pocatello, and attended Pocatello High School before graduating from Highland High School in 1970. Vickey married her sweetheart James T. Carroll and they have been in love ever since. They would be celebrating their 34 th anniversary on October 6. Among many things, she tended many children in her home, drove the school bus for Grace Lutheran, and loved being a care aid at Belmont Care Center. Vickey was a member of the University Bible Church and loved volunteering and teaching girls at AWANA's. She loved God with all her heart and would always say a prayer for you or sing you a song. She loved to collect bells, going to yard sales, and she loved everything purple. She also enjoyed visiting restaurants, trying new foods, and tormenting waitresses everywhere. Vickey was a very loving person with a big heart and was very proud of her family. Her grandchildren were her life and she loved spending time with them. She was always thinking of her friends and family and always made sure no one went ever without. She is survived by her husband James; daughter Jennifer Williams(Alan Hill); daughter Daveina "Jayhmie" (Diego) Maquiola; son Paul (Christie) Carroll; father LaRoy Stone; brothers Rick (Jennifer) Hendricks, Andrew (Christina) Hendricks, Daniel (Sylvia) Hendricks; mother Lily Maxfield; brothers Kay (Rosemary) Fries and Michael (Darla) Fries; sisters Kathy (Glen) Hunter and Tanya (Rey) Reyes; and six grandchildren Christian, Alyssa, Carter, Alaiya, Maddox, and Madison. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2011, at the funeral home, and also one hour prior to the funeral service.
