Vernon Ernest Andrews, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 20, 2020 in Pocatello, Idaho. Vernon was born in Onyx, Idaho on April 3, 1928 to John and Mary Andrews. He came as a birthday present for his mother even though he was one day late. He graduated from Inkom High School. He served in the United States Army in Korea. He resided in several areas including Inkom, Pocatello, Arizona, and Weiser. He married Edith Elaine Seat on the 25th of April in 1953 in Pocatello, Idaho. Vernon worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for years. He worked on the Freman Romriell Farm as well as for the Arvila Lewis Service Station. He also worked for about every widow or widower in town free of charge. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in callings as the ward clerk, stake clerk and High Priest Group Leader. Vernon enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, hiking, hunting, and playing almost any game. He is survived by his wife, Edith Elaine Andrews; children, Ronald Lee Andrews, Debra Elaine Andrews Peck, Steven Lynn Andrews, Lisa Faye Nalder, Teresa Marie Moore; sisters, Edith Mae Andrews Wilde, and Lana Ellis. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ernest Andrews and Mary Irene Romriell; daughter, Julie Kay Cunningham; sisters, Mary Alice Andrews Mathews, Josie Estella Andrews Curzon, Ruth Lucile Andrews Sherman, and Helen Fay Andrews; and brothers, Verlin Ray Andrews and Donald Shurtliff. Interment will take place at the Inkom Cemetery.
