Vena L. Burgin

Vena LaRose Burgin, 81, lifelong resident of Lava Hot Springs, ID, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Vena was born in Lava, on July 30, 1937, second daughter of Edward and Rozell "Rose" Roberts. She married Marshall Nelson Burgin on September 1st, 1956. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage and raised four wonderful children together. Vena dedicated and enjoyed spending her time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren making sure every one of them were well taken care of. Her grandchildren have fond memories of summers spent at her home. Every Fourth of July resembled a family reunion, the entire day spent barbequing and enjoying each other's company. Vena had a special way of making every person who entered her home feel welcome.

Survivors include her husband, Marshall, sister, Donna Scott, Malad, ID, her children, Rick (Susan) Burgin, Pocatello, ID, Todd Burgin (Robin Leissring), Lava Hot Springs, ID, Lisa (Kevin) Hincks, Aberdeen , ID, and Paul (Trina) Burgin, McCammon, ID. Grandchildren, Samantha Pugmire, Ryan Burgin, Jason Hall, Justin Hall, Jennifer Permann, Tyson Hincks, Jayson Hincks, Michelle Evans, Bradyn Burgin, Brakyn Burgin, Colby Leissring, Madison Burgin, Isabella Burgin, Trevor Judkins, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two baby brothers.

As per Vena's wishes, cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 31, 2019, 1:00p.m. at the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
