Valrie Jackson

Valrie Ann Jackson, 69, peacefully passed away at her home in Pocatello, Idaho on February 12, 2025. She was born on April 9, 1955, to Charles Edward Jackson and Judy Ann Brangham in Pocatello, Idaho. 

Valrie was lovingly raised by her grandmother, Hazel in Fort Hall, Idaho. She attended schools in Fort Hall. After Valrie graduated from Blackfoot High School, she went to Business School in Salt Lake City, Utah. Valrie moved back to Pocatello after her time in Salt Lake City and started waitressing. She was an amazing waitress at Butter Burr’s. 

Valrie was blessed with two sons and one daughter that she loved dearly. Being an amazing grandmother came so naturally to Valrie and they brought her so much joy. 

Eventually Valrie left waitressing and started working at Lamb Weston. While working at Lamb Weston, Valrie met Shelie Michael, the love of her life. They were married shortly after. 

Valrie retired from Lamb Weston in 2021. 

Anyone who knew Valrie knew she was eccentric and lived life to the fullest. Valrie loved getting all glammed up, going dancing, and having a good time. She loved her house plants, tarot cards, collecting trinkets, and spending time with her grandkids. Valrie also loved watching John Wayne movies and court TV like Judge Judy.

She is preceded by her mother Judy Nelson; grandmother Hazel Davis; her daughter’s dad, Frank Smith, and her son's dad, John “Red” Rowe. 

Valrie is survived by her wife, Shelie Michael, of Pocatello ID; children Frankie Ann Smith of Idaho Falls, ID, Preston (Lonni Taylor-Rowe) Rowe of Pocatello, ID, and Quinton (Tasha Hyde) Rowe; sister Theresa (Corey) Wakley of Tremonton, UT; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Valrie’s passing will leave a hole in the hearts of so many. 

A visitation and celebration of Valrie's life will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Wilks Colonial Chapel, 2005 S. 4th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho.
