Valerie Jeanette Doser, 80, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at her home of natural causes. Valerie was the youngest of 5 children. She attended schools in California and graduated in Ontario, Oregon. In high school she enjoyed playing basketball. As a teen she enjoyed working at the drive in. In February 1949, Valerie married Charles Fredrick Smith when she was 15. Together they raised 6 children; Charley, Randy, Larry, Trieste, Cary, and Celeste. Her employment included working at a caf and she worked 20 + years at many banks including; Idaho First, West One, and US Bank. She enjoyed her relationships with her bank friends and enjoyed staying in touch with them. Valerie married Darrel Doser on November 15, 1974 and they were married for 10 years and later divorced. Her whole life was focused on her children and grandchildren. Valerie is survived by her sons, Charley Smith, Ft. Payne, Alabama, Randy Smith, Phoenix, Arizona, Larry Smith, St. Anthony, Idaho, Cary (Pam) Smith, Pocatello, Idaho; daughters, Trieste Coronado, Pocatello, Idaho, Celeste (Tom) Dolan, Ogden, Utah; 13 grandchildren, Raychelle, Marla, Josh, David, Dautis, Val, Ami, Casey, Cary, Cody, Ty, Chazidy, and Lucas; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. A viewing will be Friday, September 5, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 208-233-1500. Services will be Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11 am also at Colonial Funeral Home with a viewing from 10-11 am prior to services.
