Tyler Michael Gunn was born to Larry and Amy Gunn on June 30, 1993, in Pocatello, Idaho. He grew up the youngest of three siblings with an older sister, Amber, and his older brother, Brandt. As a teenager, Tyler became a loving older brother to six adopted siblings: Sunny, Feleicia, Madison, Alaya, Alikye, and Isaac. He also was a proud uncle to three nephews and two nieces. He was known for being the fun and goofy older brother and uncle who would keep everyone laughing.
Tyler attended Chubbuck Elementary, Hawthorne Middle School, and graduated from Highland High School in 2011. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He also had a deep love for animals. He seemed to bring home a new pet each week and somehow managed to convince his parents to keep them. Tyler enjoyed horseback riding with his dad and participated in various 4H competitions. He loved nature and enjoyed spending time with his family fishing, camping, and exploring the outdoors.
Tyler had a naturally kind and nurturing heart and had a passion for caring for others. As a CNA at assisted living facilities, he cared for and was adored by the residents and created strong and loving relationships with them. Tyler was also passionate about advocating for mental health awareness and always looked for ways to assist others in seeking help.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Michael Harris and Benjamin Gunn, and his uncle Justin Michael Harris. Funeral services for Tyler will be held on Monday February 27, 2023 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road with a visitation from 2-3 p.m. and a ceremony beginning at 3:00 pm.
