Trent Jason Workman

Trent Jason Workman passed away on August 14, 2021 in Pocatello, Idaho. He was born April 10, 1971 in North Platte, Nebraska to Jerry Workman and Virginia Schultz Workman. He was the youngest of 4 children joining brothers, Justin and Troy and sister, Jeralyn.

Growing up Trent enjoyed attending Nebraska football games with his family and riding BMX trick bikes. As a youngster he had 2 paper routes from which he would save his earnings to purchase fireworks. A favorite vacation was visiting his grandparents in Boise, Idaho where they would go camping in the Sawtooths at Petit Lake. He attended school in Nebraska until the 10th grade when they moved to Boise permanently. He graduated from Boise High School in 1989. He spent the summer after graduating following the Grateful Dead and traveling the country with a long-haul truck driver. He attended Weber State for a year and finished his schooling at Boise State where he graduated with an associate’s degree in diesel mechanics. He worked many different jobs in Boise.

At a Halloween party in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1997, he met Danielle Walker who would become his wife on September 23, 2000 in Pocatello, ID. They were blessed with a son Triston Riley in August of 2002 and a daughter Makenna Jo followed in February 2005.

He enjoyed coaching his son’s little league football team, watching his daughter cheer and many hours of camping with his family. He took great pride in his yard planting flower beds and building walkways. He was always willing to help anyone who needed a hand. He worked at Transmission City, All Tran Transmission and was working for Western State Equipment when he became too ill to continue working.

Trent is survived by his wife, Danielle; son, Triston; and daughter, Makenna. He is also survived by his mother, Virginia Workman; brother, Troy (Lissa) Workman; and sister, Jeralyn Nordstrom; his in-laws, Steve and Denise Walker; brother-in-law, Derek (Brooke) Walker; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. And we can’t forget his dogs, River and Sage.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry; and brother, Justin.

Cremation has taken place. No services will take place at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
