Tracy Sakurada

November 5, 1965 — April 14, 2022

Tracy Sakurada passed away on Thursday April 14, 2022 after a brief illness. Tracy was born to Shig and Lyda Sakurada pn November 5, 1965. He was the youngest of the 4 boys. He attended Irving Junior High and He graduated from Pocatello High School. During high school Tracy competed in the Special Olympics in Track and Field and won several medals. Man could that boy run. When he wasn't running he was riding his bike. Tracy was know for his unforgettable smile which he wore all of the time. Anytime who ran into him said he was always smiling and he would brighten your day. Tracy started working for the City of Pocatello when he was just 16 years old and worked for them for 38 years. Tracy loved spending time with his family and friends. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He spent a lot of time with his cousins whom were like brothers. They were inseparable.


Tracy loved going camping, going to basketballs games, watching the monster trucks, and relaxing while listening to the music at Revive at 5 on hot summer days. Another favorite past time of Tracy's was playing frisbee golf with his nephew Anthony Burke whom he spent a lot of quality time with. Anthony was a very special person in his life.


Tracy was a great kid, who grew into an honorable man, who will be miss dearly by so many.


He is survived by his brothers Kevin Sakurada of Pocatello, Kent (Robin) Sakurada of Pocatello, Marvin Cox of Pocatello, Brent Cox of Pocatello, Kent Cox of Pocatello, Cousins Ronnie Cox, Lee Smith, Lynn Smith, Charlie Smith. Nephews Anthony Sakurada, Anthony Burke, Nieces Shadowmar and Krisite.


He was preceded in death by his parents Shig and Lyda Sakurada, Sister Mechi Susan Sakurada, Aunt Bobbi Smith, Uncles Charles Smtih, Gary Cox , Terry Cox , Robin Cox and nephew Tyson Sakurada.


The family will be having a Celebration of Life for Tracy in the near future for all of his friends and family.
