Tom R Hansen, 74, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014. He was born in Blackfoot, Idaho June 12, 1939 to William and Rose Hansen. He grew up in the South East Idaho area and graduated from Blackfoot High in 1957. He was drafted into the Army in December 1961, and was stationed in Fort Collins, CO. He was discharged, with honors, in March 1963. He met the love of his life, Marilyn Wallin (Gelles), and married her on August 2, 1973; they were later sealed for time and eternity in the LDS Temple on August 2, 1980. He worked for Garrett Freightliner for many years and then worked for TriState Motor Transportation, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed fishing and camping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. His surviving family is Angela (Cody) Cumpton, daughter, Traci R Hansen, daughter, Jim Hansen, brother, and Rosemary Wirkus, sister. He is preceded in death by his Wife Marilyn Hansen, Parents William and Rose, brother Bill, and son Timothy Joel Hansen. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 2 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. with a viewing for one hour prior to services. Family will also receive friends Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 208-233-1500 Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello, ID.
