Todd Gilbert

d. December 19, 2009

Roses are red Violets are blue Thanks for the memories We will miss you. The last and only of his kind, Todd Hall Gilbert began a new part of his eternal life on December 19, 2009. Born on September 25, 1952 to DeMar Hall Gilbert and Harriet Weaver Gilbert, Todd began a lifetime of adventures and memories. He graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1970 where he wrestled and sang in the choir. He served an honorable mission in Ontario Canada and returned home to help work on the family ranch and raise a family. He married Janine Gail Hathaway on May 16, 1980 in the Idaho Falls Temple and they raised four children in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Boy Scouts, coached countless soccer teams, and served in several positions in the church. Everything was an adventure with Todd. He loved traveling and taking the back roads in the process. He loved being in the mountains on the back of his horse, good conversation, and sharing his time with family and friends. You cannot sum up this man in words; he is a legend, a hero, a husband, father, and friend that we were lucky to have. He is survived by his wife, Janine, his children Rachelle (Blake Vernon), Lacey, Shayanne (Shaun Morris), and Landon Todd Gilbert who is currently serving in the Carlsbad California Mission. He is also survived by his brothers DeMar (Donna) and Quin (Karen), and his sisters Etta Jeane (Jeane) Staley and Becky (Kelly) Whitworth. And his best girl, Bear (his dog). He is preceded in death by his parents DeMar Hall Gilbert and Harriet Weaver Gilbert. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at the Inkom Ward LDS Church, 973 Rapid Creek Road in Inkom. There will be a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, also at the Inkom LDS Church, as well as one hour prior to the funeral services. Burial will follow at the Inkom Cemetery.
