Timothy Clay Mckinney

January 28, 1954 — October 24, 2014

Timothy Clay McKinney

Tim was born January 29, 1954 to Clayton and Freda McKinney in Renton Washington. Both Clayton and Freda were from Idaho and had moved to Washington for work. The family moved back to Idaho when he was starting school. Timothy attended Fort Hall, Tyhee, and Washington Elementary Schools. His family settled into the house they all called home on Belmont Street in Pocatello. Tim attended Franklin Junior High School where he found his love of football. Tim then graduated from Pocatello High School, and later in life completed a degree from I.S. U in Graphic Arts.

Tim and his partner Connie Frasure were blessed with a son, Sean Patrick McKinney. Although their relationship changed, they remained close friends the rest of Tim's life.
Tim was a life time learner and enjoyed learning new things daily. He enjoyed reading novels, history, religion, Irish lore and legends. He was an artist. He could carve intricate pieces, sculpt miniature fantasy pieces to scale, could sketch anything, and illustrate most anything you or he could imagine.

He was an avid fan of football. His team was the Green Bay Packers and everyone knew it. He also tried not to miss a Notre Dame game. For over 20 years he was commissioner of his fantasy football league. He enjoyed the camaraderie and competition on the league.
Many that knew him referred to him as, "the gentle soul', "gentle giant". Tim was loved by many and will be missed.

Tim is survived by his son Sean Patrick McKinney, sisters Peggy Suttles (Paul Fewkes), Becky Hancock (Kim), granddaughter Dezirae McKinney, grandson, Mac McKinney, granddaughter Madison McKinney, and Connie Elliot (Rick)

He was preceded in death by his parents Clayton & Freda McKinney and a sister Paula McKinney.
