Thyra Greaterex

Thyra Greaterex, 92, passed away peacefully at caring hearts in Pocatello, ID on January 9, 2018. Thyra was born on January 28, 1925 in Pocatello, ID. Thyra grew up in Arbon valley with her four other siblings, Jesse Phelps, Elaine Kucera, Frances Laton and Annabelle Loughery. Thyra married the love of her life, Robert Greaterex. In 1946, the couple settled in American Falls, ID where they raised their two children; Melissa and Diane. Thyra lost Robert in the 1990s. Thyra also loved flying planes. Thyra was a devoted and loving mother and was very proud of her family and was excited to become a grandma to her three grandchildren. Thyra loved holidays and family get-togethers; she also shared her love with food such as homemade applesauce for her great-great grandchildren. She was known for her feisty, yet good sense of humor. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. She leaves behind her sister, Elaine Kucera; grandchildren, Rose Greaterex and Robert Reeder; great- great grandchildren, Trevor Bowman(Emily), Logan Bowman (Cassidee), Madyson Bowman, Jacob Reeder, Angelina Reeder, Theo Reeder and Charlee Reeder. There will be no services held.
