Thomas "Tj" James Poppleton

Thomas James (TJ) Poppleton 27, Pocatello, passed away March 15, 2024.

TJ was born in Pocatello on November 19, 1996 to Jeff Poppleton and Jeanne Furniss Poppleton. He was welcomed by his big brother Scott.

TJ attended Tendoy Elementary, Franklin Jr High School, and Century High School in Pocatello.

TJ always had a buddy or 2 riding bikes, longboarding, playing in the field, creating childhood memories with many lifetime friends.

Growing up TJ loved to spend time at his Grams house, where there was always cousins to play with. He also loved spending time with his Grandma Jo, and no matter where he was he would always take the time to call her. He loved his Grandma's dearly.

TJ found his passion is carpentry, and looked forward to visiting his uncle Mike to talk about what he was working on. When he got on with the Carpenters Local 635 he found his home. He loved learning and using his skills in carpentry. He enjoyed all of the people he worked with and had some incredible supervisors that took him under their wing.

His favorite thing in the world was the outdoors. Whether camping, fishing, snowboarding, hiking or just feeling closer to God in nature. TJ loved spending time in Mackay with his family golfing, fishing and hanging out with his cousins.

TJ's love for his family was very strong. His parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins were a force in his life. The love he gave was most certainly reciprocated. He always knew that no matter where he was or whatever circumstances he found himself in he could always come home.

TJ was an amazing person. He judged no one and only saw the good in people. It is true that he would walk into a room and his smile and laugh would light up the room.

His untimely death has left a huge hole in our hearts and our world.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Riverwoods Event Venue, 1499 Bannock Hwy, Pocatello, ID.
