Thomas Robert Maynard , 23, of Pocatello passed away on March 28, 2014. He was born June 20, 1990 in Portland, Oregon and lived there 10 days prior to moving to Pocatello, Idaho. He attended Gate City Elementary, Franklin Junior High, Highland High School, and Idaho State University. He loved to play the guitar and sing. He wrote several songs and loved music. Thomas had a unique sense of humor and could make people laugh. Everyone who met Thomas felt his kind heart. He loved basketball, playing games, and spending time with family and friends. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was dedicated to anything he attempted. Thomas was currently working for Dish Network. He is survived by his parents Richard Martin Maynard (Stacy Maynard) and Carol Diane; brothers and sisters Kelli Dawn Merritt (Travis John Brady), Christopher Martin Maynard (Jessica Elizabeth Maynard), Kimberly Michelle Tall (John Matthew Tall), Elder Michael Richard Maynard of the Sao Paulo-Interlagos, Brazil mission, Anna Kathleen Maynard, Miranda Kay Maynard, Chase David Maynard, and Drew Joseph Maynard; nephew Ayden James Merritt and niece Sienna Nikelle Merritt. Also, two nephews due to arrive June and July 2014. Funeral services will be held Friday April 4, 2014 at 1 pm at the LDS Stake Center, 2140 Satterfield Drive Pocatello, Idaho 83201. There will be a reception and celebration of Thomas's life on Thursday evening April 3, 2014, from 6-7:30 pm at the Gibson Jack Ward Building located at 8200 West Portneuf Road, Pocatello, ID. Food will be served. Family will also receive friends on Friday from 11:30-12:30 prior to the services at the church on Satterfield Drive. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
