Thomas Al Hamilton, 55, passed away Jan. 16, 2014. He was born on August 17, 1958 in Pocatello, ID. He attended Highland High School lettering in track and cross-country and graduating in 1977. During his teen years, he was active in scouts achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and becoming a member of the Order of the Arrow, which ballooned into an interest in historical reenacting in his adult life. Thomas loved dressing as a mountain man and teaching children about that bygone era. He was also a member of the Fort Hall Replica Commission, and enjoyed working with his fellow commission members. A veteran, he served in the Navy during the first gulf war as a boiler technician. When the government mothballed the boiler run ships, Tom, entered civilian life working as a general laborer in food processing plants. He married Bonnie Le Westover on November 8, 1986 in Pocatello, ID and they were sealed in the Washington, DC Temple on August 12, 1988. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Le, father Hurley Hamilton, stepmother Mary Ann (Beale), half-brother David Kyle Holbeny, half-sister Charlene Louise Weimer, sisters Vera-Ellen Ward, Bonnie Colleen Cox, and Shirley Ann Gray, and brothers Clifford Andrew Hamilton, and George Hurley Hamilton. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty Ann (Poulton) Hamilton. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, January 24, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 44th Ward Chapel, located on highway 91, with a viewing to be held one hour prior to the services from 9-10 am.
