Thomas Edward Johns

Thomas Edward Johns, 79, was born on February 2, 1943, to William Charles and Betty Johns in Pocatello, Idaho. He passed away peacefully on November 6, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Tom has 2 brothers and 1 sister: Mike (Kay) Johns of Annaconda, Montana; Teresa (LaMont) Hansen of West Valley City, Utah; and Otto (Dorna Castorena) Anderson of Pocatello, Idaho.

He graduated from Pocatello High School and attended Idaho State University. He was involved in many sports during his high school years.

Tom started his career at the Bannock Hotel in Pocatello, Idaho and was in hotel management all throughout the United States, including Hawaii, for over 40 years.

He loved to play golf wherever he was and with his brothers and other golf buddies. Tom was also in the National Guard.

Our brother was the most charitable and kind person there ever was. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Tom was preceeded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his brothers, Mike and Otto, and his sister Teresa, as well as 24 nieces and nephews that loved him very much.

Tom’s family would like to thank his caregivers from Enhabit Hospice for all the tender care they gave him and how they treated him with compassion and dignity.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
