Thomas Dean Hansen

Thomas Dean Hansen, 59, passed away from natural causes.  

Thomas was originally from Pennsylvania and moved to Idaho at a young age. He graduated from Highland High School in 1981 and furthered his education through online classes.

Thomas loved being in the outdoors. He was always one to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Hansen of Chubbuck, ID; sister, Penny (James) Rasmussen of Chubbuck, ID; parents, Ruth and Donald Hansen of Mesquite, NV; niece, Natasha Peron of Rexburg, ID; nephew, Jared Peron of Pocatello, ID; nephew, Joshua Rasmussen of Chubbuck, ID; niece, Nikki (Dericc) Clawson of Chubbuck, ID; uncle, Jerry Hansen of Honesdale, PA; uncle, William Hansen of Honesdale, PA; aunt, Susan Hansen of Honesdale, PA; uncle, James Hansen of Honesdale, PA; uncle, Stewart Skinner of Honesdale, PA.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Herman Hansen; grandmother, Hazel Hansen; and aunt, Mary Skinner.

I’m Free

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free.

I am following the path God laid for me.

I took his hand when I heard him call,

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day

to laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way.

I found that place at the close of day.

If my passing has left a void,

then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life’s been full, I savored much,

Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.

Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me.

God wanted me now, he set me free.
