Theresa Mae Maynard

Theresa Mae Davis-Maynard returned home to her Lord and Savior on October 28, 2017. Theresa passed peacefully with family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Theresa was born on August 23, 1953 in Pocatello Idaho and was the 6th child of Melvina Hall and Charles Edward Davis. She was raised in Tyhee, Idaho with her 5 siblings, William Lee Davis "Billy", Donne Lean Davis Martinez (Marty Martinez), M. Joann Davis Perkins (Steve Perkins), Charles H. Davis "Sonny", Eddie Dean Davis.

Theresa attended Tyhee elementary, and Hawthorne Jr high until the 8th grade and then later moved to Soda Springs, ID where she completed high school.

She was married in 1971, and in 1972 she had the first of two children Charles V. (Chad) Gentry, followed by Stacie Gentry Hershberger in 1975. She divorced and later married Ed Maynard and moved to Chubbuck Idaho in 2006.

Theresa was a very caring and loving person. She was an incredible mother, sister, friend, grandmother, and wife. She worked very hard striving to provide the very best for her family. She worked various jobs throughout her life to include waitressing, office manager and later housing inspector.

She loved the outdoors and being with her family and friends the most. Theresa loved water skiing, snow skiing, fishing, camping. She was an amazing seamstress and enjoyed making blankets and clothes for her grandchildren. One of Theresa's favorite hobbies was spending time with her sister, daughter and friends, finding treasures at weekly yard sales.
Her proudest accomplishments were being Mother and Grandmother. Theresa was a loyal and dear friend to many and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, followed by brother, Billy and sister, Donna, and brother in law, Steve Perkins.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Maynard; son, Chad (Tami) Gentry of Bedford, Wyoming; daughter, Stacie (Don) Hershberger of Afton, Wyoming; her step children, Tudy (Mike) Felix of Ramsey, MN; Hailey (Brian) Kahl of St. Francis, MN; Ed Maynard Jr of Rush City, MN; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 7 step- grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren, her sister, Joann; brother, Sonny Davis; brother, Eddie Davis.

Funeral services for Theresa will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Calvary Chapel, 1633 Olympus Drive, Pocatello, Idaho. A visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday evening, November 3, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID, her family will also receive friends from 10-10:45 am prior to the services at Calvary Chapel. Her interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
