Thad Jason Jones enjoyed his last ride on August 1, 2011. He was born on April 17, 1978 to the proud parents of Rodney and Sheila Jones of McCammon, Idaho where he was raised.
Thad was a blessing to his family for a short 33 years, but he will be remembered for a lifetime as a hard working, loving, and amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Thad graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1996 where he was a part of the High School Rodeo Team. Five years after he graduated high school he married his best friend, Amy Nichole Day on September 8, 2002. A year later on August 1, 2003, his pride and joy, Natalie, joined their family. She was the most beautiful baby girl in the entire world and the pride and joy of Thad's life. He loved his Amy and “Nattie Bug” so much. They meant the world to him.
Thad worked for Western Power Sports as a sales representative for the region. He won many awards through work and was one of the top national salesman and always strived to be the best. He loved his job and met so many good friends throughout his working experience. He took a lot of pride in being a very hard worker both at work and home. He enjoyed sports and excelled at them all. He loved motocross and won many local, regional and national awards, including the Ogden Wild West National Motocross Race and he participated in the Baja Motocross Tour in Mexico. He played golf, rode motorcycles, snowmobiles, horses, snowboarded, wake boarded and skied, but his favorite thing of all was just to spend time with Amy and Natalie. There was nothing that he couldn't master, and nobody he couldn't make smile in the process.
Thad was preceded in death by his grandpa, Dell L. Brower. Thad is survived by his wife Amy Day Jones and daughter Natalie of Pocatello. He is also survived by; mother and father, Rodney and Sheila Jones of McCammon; grandmother, Kathleen Brower of McCammon; sister, Cindy (Guy) Martin of Pauls Valley, OK; brother, Jess (Laura) Jones of McCammon; sister, Jami (Bobby) Price of Pocatello; mother and father-in-law, Sherrie and Larry Kevin Day of Pocatello; brother-in-law, Josh Day of Pocatello; nieces, Cohlee, Ashley, Kayla, Rylee, Maggie, Lexee, Laycee, and Clara; nephews, Payden and David.
Thad will be missed by so many of his family and friends, he truly touched thousands of us. We would like to thank everyone for the food, flowers, and generous donations. In lieu of flowers a fund has been set up for his daughter “Nattie Bug” (Natalie) at the Potelco United Credit Union in Pocatello.
