Terry Lamonte Evans, age 74, of Pocatello, Idaho passed away on October 1, 2018 in his home. He passed away from a long battle with cancer, attended to by family members.
Terry was born on July 14, 1944 in Pocatello, to James D. and Dora (Wakley) Evans, the third of four children. He had a sister and two brothers.
Terry graduated from Marsh Valley High School, and later received an Associate Degree in Accounting. Terry met Charlotte Harris in high school and they later married on August 3, 1962. He worked for Challenge Dairy in Idaho Falls for two years. Then, they moved to Pocatello where he worked for Cream Top Dairy, and later became a self-employed distributor for Cream O' Weber for 27 years.
Terry and Charlotte raised their three children in Pocatello. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, participating in sport contests, and fantasy football. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, who meant a lot to him.
Terry was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Terry is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughter, Lisa (Randy) Fernandez; grandchildren, Logan (Brittany) Fernandez; Zach Fernandez; and Tyson Evans; a brother, John (Sandra) Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Terri Lynn; his son, LaMonte Evans, his sister, Jolene, and brother, Dale.
As Terry said at the end of his own life sketch, "This is your husband, Dad and Grampa…Over and out!"
The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice Care for taking such good care of Terry and the family; they were very caring and thoughtful.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Arimo Cemetery, 305 Front Street, Arimo, Idaho 83214. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday October 5th at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road.
