Terri Lyn Collins Slaven, 55, Sioux City, IA., formerly of Pocatello, ID, passed away March 26 from an unexpected heart attack. She was born April 15, 1960 to Cyrena H. and Allen R. Collins, in Pocatello, ID. Terri was very well received in her family. She was a petite little girl with 2 busy brothers. She loved taking dance lessons and playing with make-up. She graduated early from Pocatello High School and soon married Ricky Slaven. She was working for her brother, Rick, in a Toyota car dealership. They had worked together for 27 years. She was a natural book-keeper and loved running his office, which is what she was doing the day of her death. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and aunt. One of her favorite things to do was to gather with family in Bear Lake, Lagoon, or other short trips. She was an avid political blogger had a following of over 20,000 and recently caucused in Iowa. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Terri is survived by her companion, George South of Sioux City, IA; mother, Cyrena Egbert, (Corky), of Pocatello; father, Allen R. Collins, (Linda), Pocatello; brother; Allen Rick Collins, (Pam), Sioux City, lA; sister, Kristy Piper, (Steve); daughters, Brooke Slaven and Ashley Slaven, all from Pocatello; grandchildren, Gage Horne, Bryson Stoltz, Peyton Perry, Ian Troyer, Reese Perry; and 2 cats, TK and Charlie. Also surviving Terri is her step-family, Reed South, Hailey Fallows (Trever), Chuck Buerstatte, (Rae Anne), and Laura Buerstatte. She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Scott Collins; grandma, Marge Christensen and grandma, Sara Wheeler. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201, 208-233-1500. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 1pm at the LDS Chubbuck 1st Ward Chapel, 4775 Hawthorne Rd. (corner of Hawthorne and Chubbuck) Chubbuck, ID 83202, with a viewing for one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204.
