Terrell Lavern England

December 4, 1943 — November 28, 2020

Terrell Lavern England, born December 4th, 1943, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 76 on November 28, 2020. Terry was born in Logan, Utah to Donald Lavern and Ethel Fern Olsen England. When he was seven his family moved to Pocatello.

Terry attended Jefferson Elementary, Irving Junior High, and Pocatello High School, graduating in 1962. He met the love of his life, Julia Madge Jolley, through mutual friends and they were married on October 18th, 1963. To this union was born 6 children that were, in Terry's words, "each born perfect." He said they were, "truly blessed with special children of God."

Terry spent six years in the Idaho National Guard. At the time of his honorable discharge he was a tank commander and staff sergeant. For 33 years he worked for the Idaho Transportation Department. Except for the first six months, all of those years were spent on the striping crew, a job he dearly loved. During his years there he made many inventions to help improve the striping unit as he worked on it in the winter months. He retired in 2000 to spend his later years with his wife and children. After plowing snow for 33 years he said he hated the snow so he and Julia decided to spend their winters in Yuma, Arizona with her sisters.

Terry loved fishing, hunting, camping, and he loved golfing with his sons and grandsons. Family reunions were a big part of Terry and Julia's life. They attended a family reunion with all their children and extended family annually for over 50 years. He was a very knowledgeable man that seemed to be able to do anything for his home or family whether it was fixing the cars or rewiring his home. He did all his own maintenance on his vehicles until they changed the way the cars were made and he couldn't do it any more.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Terry served faithfully in many callings but truly loved the time he spent serving as a ward and stake financial clerk in the Pocatello Central Stake where they lived for nearly 50 years. He and Julia also served in the Idaho Falls Temple for 3 years.

Terry is survived by his wife of 57 years, his 6 children, David (Julie) England of Salt Lake; Paul (Tanya) England of Pocatello; Teresa (Mark) Clawson of Idaho Falls; Christopher (Jennifer) England of Aberdeen; Daniel (Melissa) England of Pocatello; and Amy (Dale) O'Neal of Pocatello; 21 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, with the seventh expected in the Spring; two brothers, Don Rondell (Joan) England of Melbourne, Florida; and Dennis (Carolyn) England of Salt Lake; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donnette Scott, as well as several aunts and uncles.
