Teresa R. Baca

Teresa R. Baca, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023 of natural causes.

Teresa was born on May 6, 1930, in Pocatello, Idaho to Francisco Ramirez and Guadalupe Luna. She had 1 brother (Val), 3 sisters (Louise, Juanita, and Esther), and 1 niece (Helen) that was raised by her parents. Teresa also had 2 brothers that died at an early age.

She was raised in Pocatello, Idaho and attended schools in Pocatello as well. She obtained her GED through ISU and also took additional classes there.

Teresa loved cooking, sewing, oil painting, crafts, and bowling. She also had a green thumb when taking care of her indoor and outdoor plants, enjoyed doing maintenance on her car, loved music, and spending time with her family.

Her employed history consisted of the Department of Employment, New Day Products, Lamb Weston, Pocatello High School Bus Driver, janitorial work, ISU Day Care, Health Department, and Aspect Crest Hospital.

Teresa had 3 sons: Arthur, Ronald, Ernest; and 3 daughters: Christine, Linda, and Lisa.

She married Ernest Flores, but later divorced. Teresa then married the love of her life, Manuel Baca, on May 24, 1975 in Elko, Nevada. Teresa and Manuel were married for 47 years.

Teresa has 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Arthur, brother Val, sisters Louise and Juanita, niece Helen, 1 grandson, and 1 granddaughter.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Manuel Baca; 2 sons: Ron (Carol) and Ernest; and 3 daughters: Chris (Larry), Linda (Angel), and Lisa (Ken).

A viewing will take place on January 26, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., followed by Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, Idaho. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on January 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Chapel, 504 N. 7th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
