Ted Pete Siaperas

Theodore Pete Siaperas, 78, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Pocatello, Idaho. Ted was born November 21, 1934 in Sunnyside, Utah to Greek immigrants Pete and Anna Konakis Siaperas. Ted married Helen Thayn in 1954, and they were later divorced.

Ted was a self-made man and a true outdoorsman, he lived by a code of honesty, pride and hard work. He brought that integrity and devotion to all that he did. A contract painter by trade, although his real passion was his mine in Montana. He was a true craftsman, very industrious and had many projects he enjoyed. A passionate conservative who believed in American exceptionalism and lived the American Dream. He loved that he could outwork anyone half his age and always said he had lived many life times in one. His most cherished times were spent as a young man with his father in the sheep camps in Sunnyside, Utah.

Ted's many and varied experiences gave him an uncommon wisdom and insight into life and people. His amazing sense of humor and warm heart could always charm those around him. He considered himself a very rich man because of his family and friends.

Ted is survived by; son, Pete (Tawni) Siaperas, Green River, UT; daughters, Jan Siaperas (Ronnie) Jewkes, Price, UT, Lynnette Allen, Knoxville, TN, Ann (Dave) Zaccaria, Price, UT; sister, Diamond Fullmer, Ogden, UT; brother, Andrew Siaperas, Price,UT; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends that he considered family.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; sisters, Evangeline Redmond and Amelia Gabriella; and brothers, John and Nick Siaperas, and Marino Vomvas.

We love you dad and you will be greatly missed. Until we meet again, you will always be in our hearts. A special thank you to Matt Siaperas for always being there for Ted.

A Celebration of Ted's life will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price, Utah where friends are welcome to visit and share memories with the family on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ted's name to the American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W.
