Talon Milton Haskett

d. March 12, 2024

Our beloved Talon Milton Haskett passed away at age 24 on March 12, 2024, following a cardiac arrest and returned to his Heavenly Father. Talon lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina, while on active duty with the United States Army. Talon was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. Talon is the son of Thomas and Jennifer Haskett. Talon was known for his big smile and the friendship he freely gave to those around him.

Talon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Talon graduated from Pocatello High School and was a proud 5th generation Poky Indian. As a senior, Talon was a captain and the defensive player of the year. Talon excelled as a linebacker for three years on varsity, earning state honors. Talon was invited to play for the University of Idaho but joined the Army after his first year at school. Talon also enjoyed success at wrestling by placing at state twice. Talon grew up with a competitive spirit that thrived even as a youth playing soccer and lacrosse. Talon loved to hunt with his father and brothers, where he had a natural talent for shooting. Talon loved gaming, which led to opportunities to play competitively and brought him many close friends. Talon loved to travel, often with his family to Disney. A family trip to Ireland was very special to Talon. Talon had a deep desire to serve his country like his father and grandfathers did. Talon was a combat engineer and enjoyed blowing things up. Talon was very excited to receive his Airborne jump wings. Talon quickly caught the eye of his leadership for his hard work ethic and dedication. Talon was often selected for extra duties and competitions.

Talon is survived by his parents, Thomas and Jennifer Haskett; his older sister, Malori, and younger brothers, Kedric and Karsten; and his grandparents Gary and Karen Ruchti and Phyllis Haskett, all of Pocatello. Talon's extended surviving family includes nine uncles and aunts and many cousins. Talon is preceded in death by his grandfather William Haskett and uncle Robert Ruchti.

We love you Talon, and anxiously await our reunion in heaven when that time comes.
